Nathalie Jacobs is associate professor (with tenure, 2012) in virology and immunology at University of Liège. Since 2008, she teaches tumour immunology to biomedical master students. She obtained her PhD on immunotherapy against tumours in 1996. This work was performed in collaboration with the experimental oncology Lab of Prof. Silvana Canevari in istituto Nazionale dei Tumori (Milano, Italy). From 2004 to 2006, she was a Wellcome Trust senior postdoc in the laboratory of Prof. Geoffrey Smith at Imperial College (London, UK) working on immune response against vaccinia virus. Back in Belgium, she obtained a position of research associate of FRS-FNRS in the department of GIGA-Infection, Immunity & Inflammation of the University of Liège. Her research subject in the laboratory of cellular and molecular immunology is focused on the immune response against human papillomavirus-associated cancers.
